Old Vic Artistic Director Matthew Warchus, director of the Olivier Award-winning Groundhog Day and the smash-hit festive favourite A Christmas Carol. He has also directed many other West End and Broadway shows, including Matilda The Musical, for which he won the Olivier Award for Best Director in 2012, as well as the film adaption Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical and the multi award-winning film Pride.

Joe Penhall, the Olivier Award-winning writer whose play Mood Music was performed at The Old Vic in 2018. His other theatre productions include Sunny Afternoon, which won an Olivier Award for Best New Musical 2015, and Blue/Orange, which won the Evening Standard Award for Best Play, the Olivier Award for Best New Play and the Critics’ Circle Award for Best New Play.
