Give @RosieSheehy and this whole revival of MACHINAL all the awards now. Pretty much as good as theatre gets. A career pinnacle for Richard Jones and everyone involved in this awe-inspiringly magnificent production @oldvictheatre. pic.twitter.com/VmyUDOADkX
Love the #PwCPreviews scheme @oldvictheatre Machinal was inventively staged, with great ensemble work and performances. Does everything theatre should do- entertains and provokes debateπ pic.twitter.com/AsFmBnmKHs
A highlight of American Expressionism, Machinal (1928) is revived in a stark, striking production @oldvictheatre. This visually creative piece is well-served by a committed cast, especially @RosieSheehy as the young woman finding violent release from the snares of modern society. pic.twitter.com/0D65RnKIR5
@oldvictheatre#PwCPreviews Thank you so, so much for an incredible night of theatre and culture. We really appreciate the opportunity and Rosie Sheehy was utterly breathtaking in her performance, we felt every single word. Unforgettable.
Machinal @oldvictheatre is a beautiful piece of theatre, balletic in places, raw in others, rarely ever less than intense. The compressed staging focuses attention on a flawless Rosie Sheehy, constricted and then caged by an institutionalised life, constantly writhing to be free.
Just got home from watching the opening night of Machinal at the Old Vic with the amazing Β£10 #PwCPreviews tickets. Such an incredible performance from all the cast, but special mention to the astonishing Rosie Sheehy - she brought me to tears. A well deserved standing ovation.
Machinal this evening was incredible. My first taste of expressionist theatre and I loved it. Rosie Sheehy was amazing in every scene. Thanks to #PwCPreviews for making it possible
