Went to see Groundhog Day on Saturday and can not recommend it more. @timminchin brings his usual wit and hilarity to the lyrics. it’s show that’s got heart as well as humor. https://t.co/hA7YGHFEZp
Lucky enough to see this last week and it was SUCH a treat. There are gut wrenching musicals and there are visually impressive tricks and this is both?? Ludicrous https://t.co/6A0dgUiqtD
Groundhog Day again yesterday - fabulous return to The Old Vic to see this amazing production. Can't believe it was 2016 last time. 7 years have gone very fast. Loved it just as much second time around - and Andy Karl is back as Phil Connors too! @oldvictheatre@Andy_Karlpic.twitter.com/qHPLoJa9C2
@oldvictheatre saw #OVGroundhog what a fantastic evening from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the theatre. The cast were outstanding l!!! #pwcpreview
Just seen #GroundhogDaytheMusical at the @oldvictheatre (with #coronadaysplays alum @chrisjenko) - WHAT BRILLIANCE IS THIS? Amazingly intelligent (almost too intelligent) songs, sublime staging, and genuine chills - and not just because of the blizzard - I had THE BEST time!
First preview of Groundhog Day @oldvictheatre was fabulous. Totally worth the 7 year wait since I last saw it. @timminchin is, of course, a genius, @Andy_Karl is a God. Whole cast are brilliant. My 13 yr old already wants to see it again 👏🥰🐿🦫
I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since seeing #OVGroundhogDay last night. The new cast - & returning @Andy_Karl & @AndyLangtree - are incredible. It is such a special show - hilarious, heartwarming, & ultimately: full of hope. We’re so lucky to have it back at @oldvictheatre ❤️
Well, #OVGroundhogDay is still a lyrical, visual, magical masterpiece. It still makes my breath catch, and the finale still makes me weep into my sleeve. What a cast and company and what a joy to have this show (& @Andy_Karl & @andylangtree!) back at @oldvictheatre! 💛
Groundhog Day @oldvictheatre has it all. Acerbic & witty lyrics, a charismatic cast, impressive staging, memorable songs and inventive direction that keeps attention when the plot gets a little, well, repetitive. Simply the sort of theatre you can see again and again and again.
