We believe anyone should be able to access and experience theatre.
Access to the theatre
Stalls: Lift from Waterloo Road entrance provides step-free access to the first two rows of the stalls if using the central Stalls door. Side Stalls doors have eight steps to the stage area.
Stage Dress Circle: As above with additional 21 steps to the seating area
Dress Circle: 29 steps to seats and bar, 41 steps to toilets
Baylis Circle: 49 steps to seats and bar, 21 steps to accessible toilet
We welcome assistance animals. Please contact access@oldvictheatre.com or call us on 0344 8717628 if you wish to make specific arrangements for you and your assistance animal.
Two types of hearing device are available: headsets for people who don’t use hearing aids but would like amplified sound; or neck loops for use with a hearing aid by switching it to the ‘T’ setting. If you have a digital hearing aid, please ensure that the ‘T’ setting is available. Headsets should be collected from the cloakroom in the main foyer before the performance.
Access to Backstage
Backstage Cafe & Bar includes step-free access on Waterloo road, a lift to all floors and power operated doors at the entrance and out to terraces.
